Day TWELVE

Weight fluctuated and almost a pound back up. There was no BLT – no bite, lick or taste – but there was a lot of water that I drank. I actually don’t care. I think the sadness of me is weighing down the scale. I’m just continuing, it will drop again. Hoping that my pounding headaches which I’ve had since Tricky’s death and all the grief will fade away, don’t want to take anymore Advil.

Yesterday the ordered WALDEN FARM products arrived: Chocolate Dip, Marshmallow Dip, Strawberry Spread and Apricot Spread. Opened and tasted all except the Strawberry Spread. Geez is that stuff icky sweet. Sucralose, I get it, but how about just the half of it? It overpowers all other tastes. Not sure if I’ll manage to each the Marshmallow Dip. The Chocolate Dip might be interesting to use with/in a coffee and I’m hoping that the Apricot Spread in the yogurt will lose the artificial overtone.

Winning items

BASKIN ROBBINS Sugar Free Hard Candies

The Accu-Weight mailing list is full of helpful people and ideas. I followed a few of those suggestions and here is what I have found so far.

Got a new item on the “YES can do and it also tastes good” list and that’s SNAPPLE Green Tea Peach zero calorie drink. It does not taste horrendously fake, the peach is mellow and soft but nicely distinct and no hint of bitterness from the tea and it also is not overly sweetened. Perfect.

Also, a big, big winner are the sugar free BASKIN ROBINS Hard Candies. No fake sweetener hint in them! And perfectly 10 calories of which you are allowed to have 6 per day, at any time. And yes, it’s the same logo and the same company which if famous for their ice creams, even though on their own site they only hype the ice cream itself.

Milk it is

As it was already after 4 PM and I felt rushed to somehow prepare AND eat 2 pounds of veggies and fruit before 6 PM, I decided to begin with the MILK routine first. While pouring the 10 oz whole milk I suddenly felt that this would in no way shape or form ever, ever, EVER, be enough “food” – this sentiment even though I was not hungry! Lucky enough I love plain yogurt. On a whim I decided to do a shake with it all and a couple of ice cubes and to go ahead and try the TORIANI Sugar Free Rasperry Syrup [Splenda, ugh]. I used only 1/2 serving of the syrup for all of it, which barely flavored it but was actually quite good, not overly artificial. It was a good moment to add a lot of vitamins, so that’s done too.
