Day THIRTY-SEVEN

Today I started up lap swimming again. Had not even realized how much I had missed it in the past few years. It’s a bit of a drive, but I’ll combine it with a trip to the Whole Food grocery store on the way home.

This day is not easy. Not only that it’s 4 weeks to the day that Tricky past away. But food wise. My second last milk day on the program. I’m not cheating, but boy, am I ready to. On the other hand it’s a feast as I know it is only one day more after this and then I am truly on the way back. I have already begun digging my head into what I could cook in the veggy departement, I want something different than the past few weeks to celebrate my first fish… and not having rice or such with it does seem kind of… lacking. So I’m looking around what really will make a perfect feast. Have a whole day left to find it!

Day SIXTEEN

After the amount of physical work I did yesterday I should have lost at least 2 pounds. Of course I didn’t. Of course I even gained a bit according to my scale. Of course it’s not to be mean to me, of course it’s not to test me. But of course it does test me and does feel mean. Only 3 more weeks, keep it going.

Day SEVEN

Feeling good. Most of the first 2 – 3 days complaints have vanished, the odd numbness and tingling in my left arm and the slight headaches. Also the chills have strongly diminished.

Weight is beautifully dropping – almost 10 pounds since I began – but I still feel that I need to drink more. I do see the recommended amount rather as a minimum, the reason being that this is the same guideline I use for when I am not on a diet.

Today might be a bit of a challenge day as I’ve decided to face a get-together. But, even though I’ll have to skip on all of the good food and drink I am quite certain that I can overcome the cake and ice cream with one of these sweet Cherry Coke Zero’s.

The devil is in the evenings

This was the same on any “normal” diet – the cravings came creeping up out of nowhere after 6 PM and would peak by 10 PM.

Smells and pictures of delicous hot chocolate, Vermicelles with whipped cream (equivalent to the American Montebianco) are swirling through my head, and this is just the beginning.

I’m not hungry, but I surely could eat now. So… Diet Coke it is.

Body recap

My head is doing fine right now. Hoping that with enough hydration and some Diet Coke that I can keep it like this.

Feeling a tad weak. My sleeping times are not yet back to normal, too late to bed and too late up for my liking and I believe this has its influence. I have also not yet gone back to my normal treadmill workout routine which I am beginning to miss.

The tingling and numbness in my left arm have diminished, a back massage from my husband helped a lot, I do have a muscle clump between shoulder blades and the spine. Still working on improving this

I am still having these odd hot flashes – chill freeze spells. It appears that this is totally unusual. They have been less severe yesterday but are still ongoing today. This morning I noticed a bite on the side of  my body with some swelling and redness and pain in the surrounding area. Seeing it I remember that I got that on Saturday. Flashes of warnings like “deadly brown recluse bite” are dancing now in my head and I am following these alarm bells and investigating with a few Google searches to see if there is any warrant for being worried and if that might be the cause of the body flashes.
